About Me

Dr. Brett Hollowell

Dr. Brett Hollowell obtained an Honours B.Sc. in Medical Science from the University of Western Ontario in 2007 and an M.Sc. in Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University in 2009. He then completed his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Calgary in 2013.

In 2015, Dr. Hollowell completed his family medicine residency in rural Alberta and received his certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (C.C.F.P). The following year, he pursued a fellowship in Sport and Exercise Medicine at the University of Calgary Sport Medicine Center. Dr. Hollowell achieved his Diploma in Sport and Exercise Medicine from the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine (CASEM) in 2016.

Throughout his residency training and fellowship, Dr. Hollowell provided medical care to the University of Calgary Dinos (Hockey, Football, Wrestling and Rugby teams), Lethbridge Hurricanes (WHL), and Speed Skating Canada. In addition, he has assisted with medical care for the Calgary Stampeders, Calgary Hitmen, and Hockey Canada and looks forward to continued work with amateur and professional sporting teams in the future. 

When not working, Dr. Hollowell enjoys recreational hockey, fly fishing, golfing, skiing, and spending time with his family in the mountains
